Everyone comes into the world with what you might think of as purposeful forgetting. What you forget is how to live and direct your life efficiently. This is a necessary state of existence otherwise you individually, and your world as a whole would not evolve.
You experienced this personally yesterday. You had a rather lengthy conversation with someone who pointed out to you how they came to understand the power of the emotions behind their thoughts and how crucial it was to direct them in the manner you wish in every moment of now.
You had known this, but in that moment of remembering it became more vivid, compelling, and now usable for you. Now you understand how your forgetting was also purposeful.
